Returns
We’re sure that you’ll love your Cupitt Jeweller purchase, but on the rare occasion that you are not 100% satisfied just send it back and we’ll be more than happy to give you a full refund or an exchange subject to the conditions below.
Please note that unless manufacturing defects are present certain items cannot be accepted for refunds or exchanges such as:
- custom made items to your requirements
- items specifically ordered for you
- personalised items
- earrings due to hygiene reasons
- body piercing due to hygiene reasons
- Cupitt Jeweller Gift cards
This does not affect your statutory rights.
So if you wish to return an item we would like to ask you to ensure that it is unworn, in pristine condition and in its original packaging with all the relevant documentation.
Having purchased your item online, there are two ways for you to return your item: in store, which is the quickest way for you to receive a refund or by post. Please see below for more information:
1. Returning an item in store
We would like to ask you to inform us on 01902 428486 during our opening times that you would like to return an item purchased online to ensure we can expect your item. Our lines are open as per our opening hours. You can also contact us by email on info@cupittjeweller.co.uk
When you get in touch with us, we will ask you the reason for your return and a return number will be given to you. You will need to write this number on the invoice sent back/given back to us.
Please ensure that the item you wish to return is in pristine condition and in its original packaging with all the relating documentation.
When you bring your item back in store, please ensure your bring the dispatch note and proof of purchase.
When you bring your item back in store, you will either have the option to exchange it in store or have a refund on the card used to place the order online.
Please note PayPal is an online-only payment system, so we can only exchange an item but not refund it to you if you return online orders purchased with PayPal.
2. Returning an item by post
We would like to ask you to inform us on 01527 873021 during our opening times that you would like to return an item purchased online to ensure we can expect your item. Our lines are opened as per our opening hours. You can also contact us by email on info@cupittjeweller.co.uk
When you get in touch with us, we will ask you the reason for your return and a return number will be given to you. You will need to write this number on the invoice sent back/given back to us.
Please note that unless an item is faulty, sending an item back for a refund or an exchange will be at your costs. When sending your item through the post, we would like to advise you to send it back to us using the same service we sent it to you with originally. This will ensure proof of delivery and insurance of your item whilst in transit. Any loss of the items during delivery or transit is at your own risk and under the responsibility of the delivery service providers

3. Returning a gift
If you wished to return an item purchased online and received as a gift, the person who bought it for you will need to follow our returns procedure for us to refund the item purchased on the debit card/credit card used.
Refunds requested for gifts can only be made to the payment card used to purchase the goods.
Please note PayPal is an online-only payment system, so we can only exchange an item but not refund it if it has been purchased online with PayPal.
Our refund policy does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Changing or cancelling an order
Before dispatch
If you change your mind after placing an order, you can cancel it at any time before we dispatch it by telephoning us as soon as possible. You will need to give us your name and address details, as well as your order number.
If you cancel part of an order before it is dispatched, the postage and packaging charge is recalculated on the price of the items you intend to keep.
After dispatch
In most circumstances we are sorry that it’s not possible to make changes to your order once you’ve placed it.
So here is what you can do:
To add products to your order, please place a new order for these items.
To change details of your delivery address, remove items from your order or cancel it completely.
If your order has already been dispatched or delivered, then you’ll need to follow our Returns procedure in the event of any unwanted products and return them to our store.
Please note as mentioned above, there are some products which we cannot refund or exchange, including made-to-order items and earrings according to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
5. Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
This legislation offers you the following cancellation rights when you buy online or by phone:
- You are entitled to cancel your contract if you so wish, provided that you exercise your right no longer than 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods or services
- Your right to return products does not apply to goods made to your specification, that have been clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
- If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you are obliged to retain possession of the goods and take reasonable care of them
- To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel your contract by a clear statement, including details of your name, geographical address, details of the order you wish to cancel and, where available, your phone number and email address
- If you decide to cancel, you should return the goods to us at your cost within 30 days of such cancellation and we will reimburse to you (by the method used to pay for the original transaction) the amount in relation to goods to which cancellation rights apply. This includes the cost of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you choose a type of delivery other than our standard and least expensive method of delivery)
- We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
- We will make the reimbursement no later than 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied
